Chesapeake Homes Hosts Komen High Heels For The Cure Event

On Sat., Sept. 22nd At Cornerstone In Virginia Beach!


 
Virginia Beach, Virginia – August 31, 2012 - Chesapeake Homes is pleased to be a community sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Tidewater Affiliate to help raise awareness for breast cancer in Hampton Roads for the third year in a row.  This year, the builder is opening up their Cornerstone community in Virginia Beach to host a new twist on a warm up race prior to the big race on Oct. 13, 2012.
 
 Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., local men are invited to come out and participate in High Heels for Cure at the centrally located Cornerstone community.  Men are asked to don ladies shoes, and do their best to stride, run, walk or even crawl around a route which will wind through the community.  Ladies and kids are invited to come out and participate in this FREE event as well.  In addition to the race, Movin’ 107.7’s

Kevin Kennedy and 103 JAMZ Anguz Black have committed to walk the course. The event will also feature Komen race registrations, Komen merchandise for sale, free foot massages courtesy of Fuller School of Massage, complimentary refreshments, plus a new shoe wardrobe gift certificate from Rack Rooms Shoes will be given away to one lucky participant!  Ntelos Wireless and The Hampton Roads Admirals will also be on hand for the fun.

  Directions to the Cornerstone community:  take I-264 exit 17A/South Independence/Princess Anne Road. And immediately bear right onto Baxter Road exit to the right.  At stop sign, take right onto Alicia Drive.  Make left onto Dolton Drive.  Enter in the second entrance on your right at the Cornerstone community monument.  Drive straight back into community until you see event on left – attendants will direct you to parking.
