Still putting it down... The late great James Brown's band- The Soul Generals put on a jam session on Saturday after The Godfather's funeral in Agusta Georgia. The party went on till the wee hours of the morning. The group may live on as a tribute band to the hardest working man in show business.
Will it have a velvet cover with a lace insert? Prince may be heading up his own magazine called 3121. The Purple one's publication would feature celeb interviews with Prince, and some of his own personal photography. No word yet on when the mag will hit newstands. In the meantime you can catch him at his 3121 club in Las Vegas.

T.I. may have respect for Nas but he’s not jocking him that’s for sure. According to Imhiphopnews, T.I. did an interview for Ozone magazine and said “I know cats were going to ask me about the lil title thing and all, I don’t think he was directing that at the south, It's just his opinion, he has a lot of clout, so I can respect his opinion, but as far as the music thing goes now, I don’t give a f$%& about Nas, I just do me, but if he is coming at the South, then he's making a huge mistake, we control hip hop right now, he'd lose a lot of respect from his fans out here, he's smarter than that, he should just play his position, keep making his Egyptian History rap while we make our money". Take that how you want it- I think that’s a pretty funny statement.

Okay I thought we were supposed to be banning the use of the 'N' word. I guess that doesn't go for Mr. Damon Wayans. He got himself banned from the Laugh Factory a la' Kramer style for using the word in his stand up act.

I read the book and I think everyone is misunderstanding the book,Its just so happens she was with 2 huge celebrities at one point in time when they were not famous. She was with Nas when he was living with his mother and had NO money. I dont think she ever knew what was goin to happen, and she is catchin alot of backlash over something she had no control over, Its her Life, let her Live it. She is not a video hoe like karrine stefans, she does not talk about sleepin with 100 celebs at all. She was a woman who was with a rapper from the begining, and when he was acting up and cheating on her..she did what she had to do...and it happed to be with Jay-Z. People are quick to critize and say "if that was me i would have done this and that" That is Bull Sh*t. She was just a regualr chick living her life and it happen to be with the Nas and Jay-Z. I read the book and i think that it was a good book and it opened my eyes to the live on how celebrties are in the real world, and not the celelbrtiy world. READ THE BOOK,

My name is Danielle, and I wanted to comment of Carmen's Book. I think right now we are in a world where everyone is trying to make money anyway possible. I think it is her right to write a book with whatever she wants in it. We can not forget that we have a right to free speech. And if anyone was being offered money to write a book about the information that they had, they too would take the offer. Also, alot of people say its not right and they don't care, but regardless of that, many people are going to buy her book because they want to know what is in the book. This curiosity is why celebrity weekly magazines sell like hot cakes. I read Kerrin Steffens book, not because I cared, but because the information was juicy and I guess you could call me nosey.

The advocate’s advocate… The Game’s business partner was arrested in the Atlantic City-based Black Wall Street East-recording studio and charged with money laundering on Friday. John "Johnny Hooks" Abbey was charged with laundering over 100-thousand dollars for a set of The Bloods. Abbey was charged with first-degree racketeering conspiracy and held in lieu of 750-thousand dollars bail. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the charges. Game has not been connected to the case.

Sorry guys. Eva Longoria says she is not doing a movie with Beyonce. As a matter of fact she tells People magazine that recent reports of her filming a lesbian love story with Ms. Knowles are madness. "Believe me, I would love to work with Beyonce one day. She's so talented. But this is definitely not something we are doing together. It's completely and absolutely not true," said Longoria. Beyonce's reps are also denying the story.

In the interview Kim says she always knew Diddy would find his way back to her even during his relationship with JLo. She says "That relationship wasn't real. Poor little Foxy… 
We all know Foxy Brown hasn’t had the best couple of years. Well, now she may have mouthed herself right out of a job. Word is that Jay-Z isn’t too happy with the Ill Mama lately. Why? Some say she’s been going around spreading rumors about Jay’s alleged relationship with Rhianna, and let’s just say she’s not calling it plutonic. And what’s even worse for Foxy financially-- she hasn’t been holding it down on the production side of her long awaited CD Black Roses. Team those issues along with her hearing loss (and eventual gain), assault charges, and hissy fits, and it’s just not a good look for Ms. Brown. Did you know she wrote a book? Neither did I. It’s titled, Broken Silence. No word on when it will be in book stores- she lost her publishing deal and is looking to work with a new publishing house.
A free man… Snoop Dogg is free on bail today. He turned himself to authorities yesterday afternoon after a warrant for his arrest. This is all about that incident in which airport, security found a collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage at John Wayne Airport in September. Charged with one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon. He was released on a bail of 150-thousand dollars and is due back in court on December 4th.If convicted, Snoop could face up to three years in prison.

I always knew he made a deal with the devil.... Just kidding. But a Harlem preacher isn't. Elder G. Craige Lewis says Jay-Z worships the devil in his music. He even proved his holy point, by playing one of Jigga’s songs backwards. That’s when rapper appears to say “6,6,6, murda, murda Jesus.” Okay sure he does. Anyway- Jay-Z laughed off the accusation saying “He should be arrested, seriously…My position is not unlike anyone else who ascends to the top of their field. That comes with the game. Beanie Sigel is recovering from a double hernia. He was admitted into a Philadelphia-area hospital last Wednesday after complaining about a severe pain. He should be released from the hospital today.

It’s the end of yet another marriage in Hollywood. This time around it’s Chris Rock, and his wife of 10 years Malaak. The couple, have two daughters, ages four and two.
Speaking of failed marriages... Bobby Brown may use Whitney Houston past drug abuse to get more dinero in their divorce settlement. He may also write a tell all book about their marriage. And wait, it gets worse. It’s also rumored that BBrown told Karrine ‘Superhead’ Steffans that he had a vasectomy—now she’s allegedly knocked up with his kid. She's ticked- so she kicked him out of her house. Truth or Gossip? Only time will tell.

Doctor's Advocate. Game says” I already leaked my album," Game revealed to AllHipHop.com. "I already leaked my s**t so n***as know what it is now. All they got to wait for is the dirty version."

Inside Man —he’s doing it again. Lee and writer-producer Brian Grazer are developing a sequel to the Denzel Washington blockbuster. The hit took in some 184 million bucks at the box office worldwide. There is no word on whether the original cast will appear in the sequel.

Witness… The Chicken Noodle Soup duo--DJ Webstar and Young B may be witnesses in a shooting. Police say a 13-year old girl was shot at a Halloween party Friday night in Harlem, NY. She’s in critical condition. Investigators are seeking to question the two duo after they attended party. DJ Webstar and Young B's manager Kirk Burrowes denied the pair even there.
Where’s the beef? As Jim Jones readies the release of his new CD Hustler's P-O-M-E, he say’s he's not trying to start a beef with Jay-Z. The Dipset member has a song called Roc-a-Fella Breakup—guest starring Dame Dash. Jones says the efforts is nothing more than some healthy competition.

A rapper was arrested in New York. This time around it was Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Here's how it went down- Prodigy was going the wrong way down a one way street. He was pulled over by the cops, there searched the SUV and they found a handgun and took him downtown. Anyway he was released on 75 hundred dollar bond.

Habitual offender... Looks like Naomi Campbell has yet another pair of silver handcuffs. It's rumored that she as arrested in London this week for the alleged assault of an unidentified woman. So far police won't confirm the report, but they do say that a 36-year old woman has been detained and questioned.
Oh yeah, it's over... 
Jermaine Dupri has officially vacated his post as the President of Virgin's Urban Music Department. This of course comes after the lackluster sales of his girlfriend Janet's 20 Y.O. This is what JD has to say.
"Since there are so many rumors running rampant about my position at Virgin Records, I feel that it is necessary to set the record straight," Dupri said. "I was not forced out of the company, I made a decision that it was in my best interest to leave."
No word yet on what his next move will be.
GOAT... LL Cool J is finishing up his 13 album.
Todd Smith Pt 2: Back to Cool, will be produced by 50 Cent. It should be released in March '06, and it will likely be his last effort with Def Jam. He's also working on a TV show, a book and a botox line (kidding).

The Source magazine CEO’s David Mays and Raymond "Benzino" Scott, will shell out some $14.5 million dollars to former editor-in-chief Kim Osorio. This after a federal jury in New York found Osorio was fired in retaliation for complaining about sexual harassment and gender discrimination on the job. Osorio proved to the jury that she was verbally abused and threatened while she was on the job at the mag.
Lesson learned…
Foxy Brown was sentenced to three years probation yesterday on an outstanding assault charge. Ingrid missed her court date on Monday, due to a dental appointment. Now some of her drama is behind her. But she does have to attend anger management classes and submit to drug tests.
No interviews please…. Corey “C Murder” Miller won’t be doing any extravagant promotion for his new CD. A judge has ruled that he can't do any interviews to promote his upcoming release because doing so would violate the gag order surrounding his re-trial on murder charges. Miller remains under house arrest until February 26th, when he's to be re-tried in the 2002 murder of a 16-year-old who was too young to be outside a nightclub.

Low Priority… Foxy Brown is now fully warned by a New York Judge. Skip court again and you may end up in jail. FB missed her day in court yesterday, because she had a dental appointment. Now she was supposed to be in court in the continuation of an ongoing case in which Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting two employees of a nail salon and was sentenced to three years probation. Once she found out she’d have to submit to drug tests, and attend anger management classes—Foxy tried to cancel the deal. Well that was a no deal. The Judge denied Inga’s motion to withdraw the guilty plea and said she was considering changing her promised probation time to time in a cell—no manicures for you.
Snoop Dogg may want to find alternate means of travel…. He had some drama last month after he tried to take a collapsible baton in his bags when he boarded a flight to NY from LA. The baton is a metal club frequently used by police. Anyway, authorities found it in a laptop case Snoop tried to pass through security. Snoop told deputies that the baton was a movie prop. He wasn't arrested at the time but it could still happen.
That’s a lot of power for one room... Madonna tapes a segment with Oprah today. She’ll be discussing all the drama and controversy surrounding her pending adoption of little Malawian David. The show airs tomorrow.
Banned in the USA… No surprise, Lil Wayne was banned from performing on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore. He may face criminal charges from when his crew threw money into the crowd during his show. Two women suffered minor leg injuries, another fainted.
Sk8tr Boyz… Jim Jones says that he has started Dipskate. That’s right a Diplomat Records sponsored skate team. The team is a union between the Harlem-based label and Courtney and Chris Brown of lifestyle-brand B. Unique. B.
Not down and out... Looks like Bobby Brown has found a way to pay that child support. He’s been spotted shooting a movie in L.A. Maybe now he won’t be turned away from those hot nightspots like Hyde anymore. Check out

Is there a connection between the shooting of Fabolous and the robbery of NBA star Sebatian Telfair? Now there is video connecting the robbery of N-B-A star Sebastian Telfair’s 50-thousand-dollar diamond chain to some of Fabolous’ peoples. Security cameras at Diddy’s Justin’s restaurant were rolling when the NBA player got jacked. The alleged thief was seen with Fab that night. Shortly later Fab was shot.
Far, far, far away from the feds… Wesley Snipes is in Namibia Africa. Not really avoiding arrest, but actually making a movie. Snipes, is wanted for 8 counts of tax fraud by the IRS. But for the meantime, he’s filming the action flick Gallowalker. If Blade decides to skip out on the charges, Namibia has no extradition treaty with the U-S.
