DJ L.E.S. was born and raised in Queens Bridge housing project in Queens Bridge NY where he first discovered his music talents. From there he began following in the footsteps of Marley Marl. He began making mix tapes for the local community, playing wedding receptions and parties which jump started his music career. His skills and popularity caught the ear of Queens Bridge rapper.
It was then when Nas asked him to Deejay for a show and later that year went on the road with him. While working on his debut album, Nas a recently signed artist to Columbia records invited DJ L.E.S. to the recording studio the hear some of DJ L.E.S production. It was then when L.E.S placed his first song Life's A Bitch on the highly anticipated NAS album.

From there L.E.S. Began His Production career by working with AZ Sugar Hill Fat Joe Envy, Guess Whose Back, Big Punisher, and then signed with Track Masters Production Team, from there continued to work with L.L.Cool J, Will Smith Miami, J.Lo I'm Real, Joe Drop Your Dime and several songs on all Of Nas's Albums.

After his prior achievements as the Executive Producer On Nas' Double Album Streets Disciple, which is the beginning of his Executive career with Nas Label ILL WILL records. Producing the smash hit "Just A Moment"and Landing A track on Cassidy's New Album Featuring Mario. Currently working on Quan's album who's signed to Atlantic records through ILL WILL records.

Most recently, he produced three tracks for Nas's new album Hip Hop Is Dead, including "Black Republican,"which features Jay-Z.
